PROJECT 5

From the beginning of the school year, until the end of November, students from Byron Nelson High School worked to craft 80 pillows for the disadvantaged youth at Christ's Haven for Children in Keller, TX. They were donated on November 18, 2016. With the help of attendants of the annual Haslet Night Out, we were able to donate amazingly decorated pillows to the kids at the shelter.

PROJECT 7

On September 21, 2017, Pillows for a Cause donated 25 memory foam pillows to victims of Hurricane Harvey with Byron Nelson High School's Student Council's other collected donations. We were more than glad to give back to our fellow Texans in Houston after they were devastated by the terrible storm and its floods.

PROJECT 8

On December 9, 2017, Pillows for a Cause donated about 25 amazing pillows to Safe Haven, a shelter that protects many victims in Tarrant County who are fleeing domestic abuse or just going through a tough time. Many students worked hard on these pillows by coming to sewing workshops held at the Haslet Public Library on Saturdays. We were also thankful for the volunteers that helped decorate pillows with us at the annual Haslet Night Out event.
